As already confirmed by the FIA earlier today, Dragon Racing will be partnering with Faraday Future for season 3 and beyond. The American squad also confirmed an unchanged driver lineup of Loïc Duval and Jérôme d’Ambrosio.

Faraday Future, who acted as the title sponsor of the 2016 Long Beach ePrix, will not only manufacture the powertrains for fellow Californian-based company Dragon Racing next season, but also provide title sponsorship to the team, to be known as Faraday Future Dragon Racing. Their powertrain will be branded as the Penske 701-EV, with Jay Penske (son of legendary team boss Roger Penske) owning the team.

Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand & Commercial Officer of Faraday Future, said “We are extremely proud to be part of this exciting alliance with Dragon Racing”.

As well as the new technical alliance, Dragon Racing also announced an unchanged driver lineup for Formula E’s third season. Belgium’s d’Ambrosio and France’s Duval helped the squad to second in the teams’ standings last season, with the American squad currently lying fourth this time around after an up-and-down season.

This weekend will therefore be the last in which Dragon Racing will use the Venturi powertrain, that powered d’Ambrosio to victory in Mexico City back in March.
