Felipe Massa has described his maiden outing in a Formula E car as “completely different” experience following a one day test with Jaguar Racing.

Massa, who was previously on the verge of entering Formula E before returning to Formula 1, was granted a go in the Jaguar I-Type 1 and despite the difference in machinery to his prior experiences, the Brazilian was left enthusiastic about the vehicle.

“I would like to thank Panasonic Jaguar Racing for giving me this opportunity,” Massa told Autosport.

“It was great to experience a Formula E car as it’s something completely different to anything I’ve driven previously. The different power, brakes, tyres and downforce mean it requires quite a different driving style.

“I’m happy with the experience and what I have learnt. Overall, it’s been a really fun day.”

Massa’s outing means that Jaguar have used up one of their 15 allocated filming days, while Autosport also reported that Dragon Racing used one of theirs to give Las Vegas eRace winner Bono Huis a day in a real-life Formula E car.
