[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

ABT Schaeffler’s weekend was a very positive one, the team scored points with both drivers considering the circumstances that affected Daniel Abt, and made the podium with Lucas di Grassi, and once again they proved they were very consistent.

Buenos Aires was a weekend that was a success for the Abt Schaeffler outfit, di Grassi clinched his first pole position after what was a superb qualifying session for the Brazilian.

A clean and untroubled race saw him finish in third place, behind Jean-Eric Vergne and Sebastien Buemi.

Team-mate Abt had a tough day, hitting the wall in qualifying, thus meaning he lined up on the grid in sixteenth before a comeback drive that saw him reach the chequered flag in seventh place.

The Brazilian started on pole position and led away to control the race until he was passed later on in the race dropping to fifth.

The team got him out of the pits in perfect timing, from then on di Grassi worked his way back to third and finished on the podium behind Sebastien Buemi and Jean-Eric Vergne in the dominant Renault-powered cars.

Despite starting on pole, third was maybe the best possible result that he could have hoped for.

Following an accident in qualifying, Abt qualified 16th, with a massive task ahead of him over the course of the 37 lap ePrix.

The German kept his head cool, avoiding all of the incidents and chaos that was happening around him to finish in a superb seventh position.

With a below-par result in qualifying, this was a result that Abt admitted he was more than happy with.
