Antonio Felix da Costa’s stunning performance in qualifying for the Long Beach ePrix was all for nothing – the Portuguese driver will have to start from the back of the grid due to low tyre pressures.
As confirmed by the Team Aguri driver himself on Twitter, his left rear tyre pressure was 0.05 below the allowed limit and he will thus start from the back of the grid, losing the pole position he earned in the Super Pole session in California.
Rear Left Tyre pressure was 0.05 below limit allowed, this means Disqualified, will start last. Im having alot of luck this year…

Sam Bird will now start on pole position, ahead of Lucas di Grassi – who himself was disqualified due to a technical infringement at the last race in Mexico City.
The race begins at 16:00 local time (midnight UK time/1am CET).
