Senna: “Still looking at the options”

Senior editor Bethonie Waring caught up with Mahindra Racing’s Bruno Senna ahead of the Battersea Park races. He spoke about how the weather might affect his weekend, and how he sees his future in the championship.

“Of course, we have good momentum going our way, the car’s been strong for the last few races. We didn’t quite get the results we’ve deserved, but it’s one of those things. Hopefully we can have a good strong weekend with no silly issues that have cost us points. London’s going to be tough, it’ll be a very long race, we have very tough conditions with the weather, so I think we’re going to have a big challenge.”

“It’s impossible to know, it can catch you or help you, that’s the bad or good thing with qualifying being in groups. For me, for the championship hunt I’d prefer if everybody was in the same group, according to championship positions, so that you have a direct fight, but for me I think it’s the same.”

“I hope so – the important thing is scoring points for being in the top 10 in the race, the fastest lap is only when everything is lost and you need to score a point or two for the team. I’d prefer to be up in the top 10 than fighting for the fastest lap.”

“I don’t know yet, still looking at the options. To be honest with you it’s been very busy and there’s still some racing to go this year so I’m focusing on that. But yeah, after the championship ends now, I’m sure there’ll be a chance to talk with different people here and figure something out.”
