Allianz will have its logo displayed both on the Formula E show car and the autonomous Roborace cars, as unveiled earlier today. One of the German company’s aims in this partnership is to boost fan engagement within the race venue.

Formula E, always regarded as one of the fan-friendliest motorsport series, will now have the Allianz eVillage, where fans will be able to take part in innovative activities, being able to find out more about the sustainable championship. The Explorer Zone, brought by Allianz, will be the place where fans will have the chance to be even more involved in the series.

Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag welcomed the new partnership with Allianz to the series and spoke of the common interest to bring the sport closer to the fans.

“We’re delighted to be welcoming Allianz to the Formula E family and to see their passion in motorsport continue with the world’s first fully-electric single-seater racing series,” said Agag.

“Allianz and Formula E are two brands that share a commitment to innovate and inspire, key values that form the basis of our partnership. With the support of Allianz we aim to bring our mutual passion for racing and innovation to our ever-growing fan base around the world.”

Jean-Marc Pailhol, Head of Group Market Management and Distribution at Allianz SE, expressed: “We believe that now is the time to engage in the development of new ecosystems defining the future of urban mobility in a sustainable way.

“What better way than to partner with Formula E, which not only brings the discussion to metropolitan cities around the globe but also adds the excitement of fully-electric racing.”

Pailhol announced that the Allianz eVillage will give fans the chance to get closer insights of modern technologies such as 3D printing, drones and virtual reality (VR). The next round of the championship, the Mexico City ePrix, will host the first eVillage with the collaboration of Allianz.
