The revised circuit to be used at the double-header Berlin ePrix has been officially unveiled, once again making use of the apron of the disused Tempelhof Airport.

Having hosted the Berlin ePrix in season one, the Tempelhof Airport returns to the calendar following the local senate’s decision to not continue using Karl-Marx-Allee and Strausberger Platz.

The new track will feature ten corners in an anti-clockwise direction with a lap distance of 2.25km. The newly-branded Allianz eVillage will be located in the terminal overlooking the circuit.

Local driver Daniel Abt, who took a podium at the last Berlin ePrix, praised the double-header event and looks forward to returning to the Tempelhof Airport.

“For us as a German team with German partners, and me as a German driver, it is great news that we will have two home races this season,” said Abt.

“It’s no secret that I loved the track around Karl-Marx-Allee a lot. But now that I have seen the new Tempelhof layout, I can’t wait to get there. The fans will love the unique setting that brings everyone so close to the action and us drivers.

“The track is perfect for great racing and a lot of overtaking. I’m looking forward to meeting my home crowd. We will put on a great 48-hour Formula E party for the fans in Berlin.”

Grandstand tickets for each day will cost €49, with a €10 discount for senior citizens and students, while tickets for children are half price at just €24.50. Tickets for both days are priced at €79.
