With more manufacturers becoming interested in Formula E, including car giants Ferrari and Mercedes, questions start to be asked of what a Formula E car would look like with each respective team’s iconic branding.

Renowned livery designer Sean Bull has set out to answer this very question, using his unique touch to bring these concepts to life across a range of series, with Team Motopark emblazoning their European Formula 3 cars with one of Sean’s designs. Recently, Sean turned his attention to Formula E and produced some beautiful designs for prospective entrants into the all-electric series, including one for the pending entry by Formula One champions Mercedes.

With special permission from Sean, we can take you through each of his designs and his take on what each potential team might put forward as their respective liveries.

BMW are already involved in Formula E with the MS Amlin Andretti squad, piloted by Robin Frijns and Antonio Felix da Costa. With a planned entry into the World Endurance Championship in 2018 and a works team also in the pipeline for future Formula E seasons, Sean has prepared this eye-catching concept for the German marque.

An entry into Formula E by Ferrari has been talked about for a number of months now, with CEO Sergio Marchionne stating recently that Ferrari would seriously consider entering the series when races can be run by a single car. Such a move by Ferrari would no doubt be a popular one, with Sean applying the famous Ferrari red and giving us a glimpse of what we could expect from the Scuderia.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Hyundai IONIQ FE18″ title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”green”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”3″ images=”10662″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Hyundai is one of the latest car manufacturers to come on board with the production of electric vehicle technology after the unveiled the Hyundai IONIQ. An elegant mix of black, red and silver make this a very smart looking car and one that would fit right in on a Formula E grid.

Reigning Formula One champions Mercedes have already taken an option to enter Formula E in season five and as such have a slot ready for them on a potential 12-team field. In this concept, Sean has drawn inspiration from the decals of the W08 F1 machine and applied his own take to the Formula E car, making for a striking livery that would certainly catch the eyes of the spectators.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Nissan Zero E-01″ title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”green”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”10660″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Bearing resemblance to the innovative Nissan GT-R LM Nismo is Sean’s design for the Japanese car manufacturer, complimented by electric blue decals that help make this concept one that would look awesome out on the streets of the world.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Porsche 929E” title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”green”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”10659,10658″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

A team that has taken 11 wins from 21 races in the World Endurance Championship, Porsche would no doubt be a welcome addition to the all-electric series as a further expansion of their current racing programmes. With a livery that takes inspiration from the Black Swan Racing 2016 Porsche GT3R, the lime green base colour stands out as a unique machine that would draw eyes lap after lap.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Tesla TFE-01″ title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”green”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”10657″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Undoubtedly among the most famous of electric car manufacturers, it is not inconceivable to think that Tesla could one day field an entry into the Formula E championship. Should the American company decide to pursue that eventuality, they should look no further than Sean’s loud and exciting concept that sees a monochromatic base complimented by an overlay of red that lifts the livery in all the right ways.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Volvo E-Polestar 18″ title_align=”separator_align_left” color=”green”][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”10656″ img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

Based upon the Volvo S60 Polestar Cyan Racing that currently competes in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, Sean’s take on a potential livery by the Swedish car manufacturer very much stands out and represents a realistic idea of what an entry by Volvo could look like.
