Formula E testing to move to Valencia

Motorsport.com is reporting that the rumoured move from Donington for Formula E’s preseason test has been confirmed.

Although initially set up as the “home” of Formula E, before the start of Season 1, Donington has been criticised as unrepresentative of the street circuits the series uses, making testing of limited use.

Without a race in the UK for seasons 3 of 4, despite the series’ head offices being London based there seems little justification for remaining at the circuit after the first three years obligation has now expired. Valencia had been proposed as a venue some teams might use as early as the end of preseason testing last year and it’s something of a relief if (to airmiles-racking journalists at least) if  the testing is confirmed in one place and not, as rumoured, split.
