Antonio Felix da Costa will remain on the Formula E grid in season four, driving for the newly-branded MS&AD Andretti squad, while his team-mate is yet to be announced.

da Costa joined the series in season one, taking his so-far only victory at the 2015 Buenos Aires ePrix with Team Aguri before joining the Andretti team in season three.

The Portuguese driver endured a difficult year in season three, but hopes that the team will make much-needed steps towards moving to the sharp end of the grid.

“I’m very happy to be back with the MS&AD Andretti Team for Season Four,” said da Costa. “We have had good testing days and I believe we have made some much-needed steps forward.”

“Besides that, I believe with another small push from BMW and our partners, I believe we have the strength to fight for good results. I can’t wait for Hong Kong.”

Present at pre-season testing alongside da Costa are season three reserve driver Alexander Sims and BMW DTM driver Tom Blomqvist, who will share driving duties as they both vie for a race seat with Andretti in the all-electric series.

Co-Team Principal Roger Griffiths is very pleased with the quality of his potential driver line up and looks forward to a successful week of testing in Valencia.

“We are very fortunate to not only be testing two very capable drivers in Valencia but three top-level talents,” said Griffiths.

“Antonio has been in Formula E since the very start which makes him one of the most experienced drivers in the field and a huge asset to our team. Alexander had an important role as reserve and test driver in Season Three and is excited for a chance to show what he can do in Valencia.

“All three drivers are proven race winners in either Formula E or other race series and that is incredibly valuable. The whole team is looking forward to a productive week of testing for MS&AD Andretti.”

Only three race seats are available for season four, with Venturi the only other team left to evaluate their driver options.
