Calendar release: Electric GT picks up pace

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The inaugural season of the Electric Production Car Series is set to debut in November as announced by Electric GT Holdings.

The all-new, zero-emission Electric Production Car Series is set to debut in Jerez, Spain on 3rd and 4th November. The championship will see all competing teams take part in a pre-season practice race that will take place behind closed doors at the Pau E-Circuit in South of France this October before the first two rounds at Jerez.

“This is a very exciting day for all of us who have worked so hard behind the scenes to prepare for our inaugural season. Without a doubt, we have secured some of the most exciting European tracks for our first season of the Electric Production Car Series and this gives us a great platform to further expand the championship,” says Mark Gemmell, CEO of Electric GT Holdings.

“Although much of the 2018/2019 calendar has yet to be confirmed, the championship has already finalised a few rounds beginning with the two opening rounds in Jerez, the Nürburgring in June, Netherland’s Circuit Park Assen in July and a finale in Portugal’s Algarve Portimao Circuit in October.

“Meanwhile, discussions to hold the championship outside of Europe are still in the works as explained by Gemmell, “We have received a great deal of interest from circuits around the world excited by the possibilities that electric racing brings.

“We’ve got lots more news to come very soon. I’m stoked about the future, and we are all looking forward to bringing elbows-out electric racing action to fans around the world,” says Gemmell.

The main races will also be accompanied by supporting events such as the eKarting series and the virtual racing platform, the eSports Series.

A limited number of free general access tickets for the Jerez opening rounds are currently being offered for fans who register at Electric GT website.
