Ahead of his season 5 debut with Venturi, Felipe Massa talks about how Formula E will be an opportunity to achieve his personal goals.
After retiring from Formula One last year, the Brazilian will bring with him over 15 years of experience from the top echelon of motorsport to the Monegasque team.
Speaking with e-racing.net, Massa mentions that by joining Formula E he will be setting high personal goals for himself and his career.
“My goal is to always be the best that I can, to try and win the race and this was always my goal throughout my career,” said the 37-year-old.
“Sometimes, in Formula One, you know the chance you have to win the race by looking at the car and sometimes it’s almost impossible, but the chance you have by trying to show or to give the best is always the same. My goal is to be competitive and I’ll always give the best I can give,” he adds.
“It doesn’t really matter the position in which you arrive, but if you arrive in your best [form] then you could give your best and feel that you’ve done a good race and this is a good feeling.”
It is still to be announced who will partner Massa at Venturi, with both current drivers Maro Engel and Edoardo Mortara understood to be under consideration for HWA when they join the series next season.
