Introducing Gen2 EVO
After teasing fans for days, ABB Formula E has finally unveiled the Gen2 EVO with a first-look video.
The new car boasts a new front wing, dorsal fin, and curved rear wing. Founder and Chairman of Formula E, Alejandro Agag said: “I would like to thank FIA President Jean Todt and his team for making this evolution take shape. Its futuristic design once again showcases Formula E as the category for innovation in both technological advances and appearance.”
Gen2 EVO will hit the grid in season 7 as Formula E makes its transition to a world championship. All cars will take the identical chassis and bodywork, but teams will continue bringing their own electrical components to the powertrain.
The changes come as we approach the midway point of the 4-year Gen2 era of Formula E and will be available to see in-person at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 3.
