Vergne heads Techeetah 1-2 to finish day two

Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer completed a Techeetah 1-2 in the final Wednesday session, with the Nissan e.dams of Sebastien Buemi finishing in the top three.

Following the race simulation a final half hour session was green-flagged, but it appeared that Buemi had taken to the track prior to the session starting and was called back into the pits by race control, where he was only allowed to rejoin for the final ten minutes.

The Swiss driver went on to take the third fastest time with a 1:17.473s, while Vergne’s benchmark was a 1:17.342s.

BMW secured fourth and fifth with Antonio Felix da Costa ahead of Alexander Sims, ahead of the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler duo of Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi.

Felipe Massa secured a top ten finish with a time of 1:18.050s, while Sam Bird and Mitch Evans rounded out the top ten.
